What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address.

When you make a purchase, FastSpring, our merchant of record, collects your name, country and payment details inside their checkout; we never see or store your card number.

We keep a record of your purchases so you can re-download your plugins later, and we count page visits in aggregate through Cloudflare Web Analytics — no personal data, no cookies.

How we use it

Your email is used for account authentication (magic link sign-in), order confirmations, license delivery, and support responses.

Your purchase history is stored so you can re-download your plugins at any time. We hold all of it because there is no way to give you an account, a license, or an answer to a support message without it.

We ask for your consent for marketing, and only send you marketing emails if you agree.

If you regret giving permission for marketing, you can change your mind under Email Preferences in your account, or unsubscribe from any marketing email we send. Opting out never affects your licenses, downloads, or support, and we never sell or share your address.

Trial downloads

When you request a free trial, we collect your email address, a hashed version of your IP address (non-reversible — we never store your IP address itself), the time of your request, your browser's user-agent string, and which plugin you requested. We use this to send your download link, and measure trial interest.

To prevent abuse, the hashed address and the user-agent are used to stop one trial being claimed over and over.

If you opt in during the trial request, we may email you about your trial status and new Segment CPH releases.

Trial download records are automatically deleted after 90 days. You can also request deletion of your trial data at any time by contacting support@segmentcph.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions — these keep you signed in so you do not have to log in every visit. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party ad cookies.

We measure aggregate page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint or identify individual visitors, and is GDPR-compliant — that is why no consent banner is required.

During checkout, FastSpring's embedded payment form sets its own cookies inside their secure iframe. FastSpring is the data controller for that flow, and their privacy policy applies.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• FastSpring — merchant of record for all purchases. FastSpring collects your name, country, and payment details during checkout, handles VAT and tax compliance, and is the legal seller of record for your transaction. Their privacy policy governs that flow.
• Resend — email delivery for magic links, order confirmations, and support messages.
• Neon — database hosting (EU region) for account and order data.
• Google Cloud Run— application hosting, in Google’s europe-west1 region in Belgium. Your requests to this site are served from there.
• Cloudflare — cookieless web analytics for aggregate page-visit counts. No personal data, no cookies, no fingerprinting.

Where your data is held

Your account and order records live inside the EU: the database is in Neon’s EU region, and the site itself runs in Google Cloud Run’s europe-west1 region in Belgium.

Three of the services we rely on are American, so some processing happens outside the EU: FastSpring for checkout and payment, Resend for email delivery, and Cloudflare for aggregate visit counts. Each of them is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which is the European Commission’s adequacy decision for transfers to the United States, and that is the safeguard those transfers rest on.

Data retention

Your account data and purchase history are kept as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.

Trial download records are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, have us restrict or stop using it, or have it sent somewhere else. Email support@segmentcph.com and we will take care of it.

If you delete your data, you lose your re-downloads and we can no longer look up your order. The license file you already have keeps working — it runs offline and never expires.

You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time under Email Preferences in your account, or from any marketing email. That stops future emails; it does not make the ones we already sent unlawful.
