Hi, I am Peter Bojesen, the founder of Segment CPH, an independent plugin studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I am a professional software developer and spare time music producer and I founded Segment CPH to fulfil a long-time dream of developing audio plugins myself.
What We Make
We design audio plugins for music production with a deep focus on user experience and ease of use, while providing you with professional grade plugins.
We are eager for you to try Palora, our first synthesizer plugin. It is a polyphonic synthesizer that allows for a wide range of sounds, from classic analog to modern digital. It is designed to be intuitive and fun to use, with a focus on creativity and sound design. Everything we make ships native on macOS and Windows and works with DAWs that support VST3 or AU, and is built for real-time performance. Our instruments also ship as standalone applications, so you can use them without a DAW if you want to.
AI
In the age of AI we feel it is important to use machines to enhance creativity, not replace it. We are not against using AI in general, but we believe that music is the result of human creativity and is a human art form.
We use AI in our plugin production pipeline, and see that as a natural part of modern software development.
In our first synthesizer plugin, Palora, we offer you the opportunity to use AI to generate presets and sound design ideas. Not in the plugin itself, but by providing you with an AI authoring brief that you can load into your favourite AI. We build the brief by using AI to help author the factory presets.
